Goa Hotel Deals

Monday, June 6, 2011

Hotel deals in Goa run for most part of the year. However there are hardly any deals on offer for the busy season from November to the end of January every year as that time is considered as the peak season for tourism in Goa since the events of Christmas and New Year are beautifully sandwiched into this power packed season of Goa where flights to Goa are a busy schedule.

Also from November to January, the tourism inflow into Goa is at its heights due to the fact that the climate in Goa is pretty cool and pleasant for western tourists who would otherwise feel out of place during the summer season in Goa which typically begins from around middle of march and runs till beginning of June.

Goa Hotel deals therefore are more prominent in the off season which can be anywhere from February end till September end during which hotels in Goa lure holidayers with tempting offers on hotel rooms and spice it up with Goa tours, airport transfers and various other in-house facilities thrown in the ring.

Many hotels have tried to exploit the fascination that tourists coming to Goa have for the state which is not only for the Goan sun , sand and the sea but also for Goa's rich natural forested landscape. The Monsoon season in Goa offers that extra green part of Goa accompanied with the smell of the wet earth which many tourists love to engulf themselves in.

Among the sops on offer by various hotels in Goa, are free time in the spas, which can serve top be an excellent health and rejuvenation package for a Goa tourist. Some hotels offer a little more such as an open entry for guests to have all their meals in any of the restaurants of the hotel. In this win-win Goa hotel deals, the tourist enjoys the comforts at a bargain price while the hotels in Goa get to operate in the off season although with lesser profit margins. However the response to the deals is overwhelming for the Goa hotels in recent times and many of the hotels in Goa have had to run almost at full occupancy in the monsoon season which is considered a blessing.

Monsoon packages in Goa have therefore been helpful in keeping the hotel from being shut down for the off season as well has opened the gates for tourists to enjoy five star hotel facilities in Goa which middle class Indians have grabbed with both hands.

Goa Monsoon Packages

Saturday, June 4, 2011

Goa is on the brink of a well deserved monsoon season. With the heat of the relentless and sweaty summer showing signs of withdrawal, the state of Goa looks forward to the much craved for break from the unpleasant weather to welcome the more alluring rains for which Goa is tantalisingly ready.

The first thought of the rains in Goa brings a nostalgic smell of the Goan earth which in its pure monsoon drench, lets out fumes of its bond with the rains which bring out the life out of the Goan vegetation. Umbrellas, raincoats, rain shoes and sandals make their way out and everyone in Goa is in for some rainy weather to remember.

It is also the season when holidays to Goa take another turn. In times of yesteryears, the monsoon in Goa often signalled the end of the tourist season and hotels in Goa and other such establishments often folded their mats, thereby succumbing to the demands of the season. However, with new and innovative marketing brains working overtime, people in the hotel business have quickly realised that Goa can indeed be a haven for holidaying in the monsoon season.

It has quickly dawned on hoteliers from Goa that domestic tourists from the country love rains and they do not actually mind travelling during that period. Some hotels in Goa now claim that they indeed have a occupancy of over 80% in the monsoon season.

Also the rates being cheaper during the monsoon season in Goa has served to attract a lot of people to this beach capital of India. However most of the travelers coming to Goa in the rains are not much of the beach lovers. They would rather enjoy and abound in the greenery that Goa has to offer during this season. Monsoon packages in Goa are therefore in abundance in most of the hotels who have ventured to cash in on the tourist flow during this season in a more organised manner.

So get going to Goa during the monsoon this year and enjoy the green hilly slopes gushing their waters onto lush green fields and meadows with green frills, froglets prancing around , fresh rivers and ponds hosting little fish negotiating through stony traffic and the thud of the rain ploughing the Goan earth like spikes of water oozing out the life of the dust. A scene seldom witnessed anywhere else nearby. It is just too much of lovely Goa, unaffordable to ignore.

So why wait? Get your Goa monsoon package by clicking here and get going to Goa now!

Does Goa urgently need a visa-on-arrival facility?

Sunday, May 8, 2011

While the tourism season in Goa is on an upswing, the Goa’s tourism industry strongly believes that the state could ring the cash registers much more if the government had to introduce the Visa-on-arrival facility in Goa immediately.

Goa has visa on arrivalso far received 23 lakh tourists this year including both domestic and international tourists thus touching the highest number of charter flights. The figure is expected to rise by the end of May with domestic tourist supply inflow supplementing the figures. The expected figure this year is 27 lakh tourists according to the Tourism department

The number of Foreign individual travelers(FITs) has also shown a steady increase .However it is felt that Visa on arrival facility could easily spike up the inflows of tourists. Also competition being fierce in the region, such a facility is expected to benefit tourism in Goa.

It is also believed that during the crisis in Egypt, many tourists bound for that country shifted their plans to Goa. However such displacement of tourists from their original plans to Goa could have been more fruitful had there been a visa on arrival facility.

The European inflow of tourists has been steadily increasing as also a specific rise in tourists from Britain, Denmark and Sweden have shown interest in Goa. Russian tourists have however shown a good increase with that number alone accounting for about 42,700 tourists visiting Goa this year itself.

The Travel and Tourism Authority of Goa (TTAG) have also been pursuing the issue of visa on arrival with the central government of India to help the state cash in on the tourism boom.
